Warwickshire Cold Pot
| 1/4 lb of
Haricot Beans 1 Carrot Half a Turnip 2 Onions 1/2 lb Fat Bacon Herbs and Parsley

2 Tomatoes Pepper and Salt 1 1/2 Pints of stock 1 1/2 lbs of Meat 4 leaves of Nelson's Waterleaf Gelatine or 1/4 oz of Nelson's Speedway Powder Gelatine

Soak the Haricot Beans for at least 12 hours. Add the Beans, Bacon, Herbs,
Parsley and Seasoning to the Stock, and let all simmer greatly for 2
hours. Cut up the meat into rather large pieces, add to the vegetables and let the whole simmer for a further hour. Remove the Parsley and Herbs and serve the Meat and Bacon on a large hot dish in the centre of the vegetables. Pour Gelatine, after dissolving in hot (not boiling) water over the whole and allow to stand until cold. |
